Three Fish Drinking Vessel

This hand painted drinking vessel is wheel thrown in stoneware and finished with a soft, creamy glaze, featuring a trio of stylised fish painted in deep ocean blue. Each fish is applied by hand, with visible brushwork and fine line detail that gives the surface a sense of movement and individuality.

The rounded form sits comfortably in the hand, while the slightly flared rim makes it ideal for everyday use. Subtle variations in glaze, brushstroke and form are part of the making process and ensure that every vessel is unique.

Designed to be both functional and expressive, this piece works beautifully for water, wine or hot drinks, and sits comfortably alongside other mugs and vessels in the collection. The fish motif reflects a strong connection to the Cornish coast and Susy Ward’s ongoing exploration of surface and narrative in ceramics.

Made in small batches by Susy Ward at her Krowji studio in Redruth, this vessel is a thoughtful everyday piece to use and enjoy.
