Are all your pieces handmade?
Yes. Every piece is handmade by Susy in her studio at Krowji, Redruth, using local stoneware clay.
Why does my piece look slightly different from the photo online?
Each item is unique. Small differences in shape, glaze, or colour are natural and part of the beauty of handmade ceramics.
Do you make custom pieces or commissions?
Yes, Susy accepts commissions when her schedule allows. Please get in touch by email to discuss your ideas.
Are your glazes food safe?
Yes. All functional tableware is finished with food-safe, lead-free glazes.
Can I use your ceramics in the dishwasher or microwave?
Most stoneware pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe, but hand washing is recommended to prolong their life.
Where is your clay sourced from?
Susy mainly uses local stoneware clay from St Agnes in Cornwall, chosen for its strength and character.
Do you make one-off sculptures as well as tableware?
Yes. Susy creates both functional and sculptural pieces, each with its own character and individuality.
