Studio Glaze Ramen Bowl

This handcrafted ramen bowl is wheel thrown in stoneware and finished with a layered studio glaze that moves richly across the surface. Deep charcoal and earthy brown tones are broken by subtle bands of warmer colour, creating a surface that feels both atmospheric and grounded.
 
Inside the bowl, the glaze settles into the throwing rings, revealing the spiral marks of the making process beneath. Variations in tone, texture and glaze movement are part of the firing, ensuring that each bowl is entirely unique.
 
Generous in size, this bowl is designed for ramen, noodles and broths, while also working beautifully for rice dishes, salads or shared sides. Its gently flared rim and weight give it a reassuring presence on the table and a comfortable feel in use.
 
Made in small batches by Susy Ward at her Krowji studio in Redruth, this bowl reflects a love of material, process and expressive surface.
