Green Fish Mug

This handcrafted mug is wheel thrown in stoneware and finished with a soft, creamy glaze, decorated with hand painted green fish and scattered dots. Each fish is painted individually, allowing the brushwork to remain loose and expressive, with gentle variations in tone and detail across the surface.
 
The glaze pools subtly around the decoration, creating depth and movement that changes with the light. No two mugs are ever the same, with natural differences in brushstroke, glaze and form reflecting the handmade process.
 
The rounded body and comfortable handle make this mug ideal for everyday use, from morning coffee to evening tea. Designed to be both functional and characterful, it sits beautifully alongside other pieces in the fish collection.
 
Made in small batches by Susy Ward at her Krowji studio in Redruth, this mug reflects a strong connection to the Cornish coast and a love of surface, pattern and thoughtful craftsmanship.
