Green Celadon Glazed Plate

This handcrafted Green Celadon Glazed Plate is wheel thrown in stoneware and finished with a soft, translucent glaze that settles into gentle olive and moss tones. The celadon glaze pools and breaks across the surface, revealing the throwing rings beneath and creating a sense of depth and quiet movement.
 
Fine crackle patterns naturally develop within the glaze during firing, adding texture and subtle detail to the surface. These variations are part of the making process and ensure that each plate is entirely unique.
 
Designed for everyday use, this plate works beautifully for serving food or as a decorative piece when not in use. Its simple form and restrained colour palette allow it to sit comfortably alongside other tableware or as a standalone piece.
 
Made by Susy Ward at her Krowji studio in Redruth, this plate reflects a love of material, craftsmanship and understated design.
