Burgundy Glazed Sandwich Plate

This handcrafted sandwich plate is formed in stoneware and finished with a rich burgundy glaze that moves organically across the surface. Layers of deep red, earthy brown and soft tonal shifts create a painterly finish, with subtle variations that make each plate unique.
 
The gently irregular shape and expressive glaze reflect the handmade process, while the raised ceramic feet on the reverse allow the plate to sit securely on the table. Designed for serving sandwiches, small bites or light lunches, it also works beautifully as a decorative piece when not in use.
 
Each plate is made individually by Susy Ward at her Krowji studio in Redruth, celebrating material, surface and quiet individuality. A functional piece that brings warmth and character to everyday dining.
