Blue Flower Bowl

This handcrafted bowl is wheel thrown in stoneware and finished with a soft, creamy glaze, decorated with freely painted blue flowers. Each floral motif is applied by hand, with visible brushwork and fine line detail that brings movement and individuality to the surface.
 
The glaze gently crackles during firing, adding subtle texture and depth that catches the light. Natural variations in brushstroke, colour intensity and form are part of the making process, ensuring that each bowl is entirely unique.
 
With its gently flared rim and rounded form, this bowl works beautifully as a small serving bowl, plant pot or decorative piece. Both functional and expressive, it brings a quiet botanical presence to the table or shelf.
 
Made in small batches by Susy Ward at her Krowji studio in Redruth, this bowl reflects a love of surface, material and thoughtful craftsmanship.
